background contrast - night time flash

- the flash created contrast making the subject stand out from the dark background.
- subject is wearing black, without the flash he would blend into the background.
- can see strong contrast between the board and background as well as his skin and the background.
- would've worked better if he was wearing something brighter.
highlights/shadows contrast - flash

- outline of the subject on the wall.
- slightly distracting
- makes the leg appear bigger but would be different if he was wearing a lighter coloured trouser
- shadow is completely black
makes subject stand out
highlights/shadows contrast - daylight

- can clearly see each little twig coming off the brambles that are in front of the sky.
- highlight on side of train fades to black, not a lot of contrast
- exposed for the sky/ highlights
- contrast between the graffiti and the train where its being lit
- contrast in the out of focus area between the train and sky but not between the train and the ground
colour contrast - still life

- flash makes the colours pop
- gives contrast and makes everything appear more crisp
- outlines around the items in the photo where the flash created harsh shadows
- green and white have more contrast between them than the white and purple
colour contrast

- used flash to improve the colour contrast
- lots of contrast between all the colours. including the greens in the background.
- colours are punchy and rich.
- colours next to the other colours appear more vibrant and saturated.
