tungsten light - high iso (6400)

- increase exposure - brighten whites - correct white balance

- decrease highlights. - darken blacks

- bring up shadows - take out some saturation

image shot at a high iso at night, lots of noise in the image. shot in tungsten light and corrected with the eyedropper tool, however I think the image worked better with an incorrect white balance. the image is backlit and needs to be exposed more in camera as ive lost a lot of the black details.

night time with flash - low iso

- increase exposure - increase shadows - decrease saturation

- use eyedropper to correct wb - whiten whites

- decrease highlights - darken blacks

brought up the shadows so that you can see the building in the background, increased overall exposure and had to compensate by decreasing my highlights so that they didn't blow out. take a bit of saturation out as find strong saturated greens a bit gross.

bright sunshine - no flash

- increase exposure - increase shadows - decrease saturation

- use eyedropper to correct wb - whiten whites - applied 4x5 crop

- decrease highlights - darken blacks

lots of contrast between the side of the building in the sun compared to the side in the shade, balanced this by bringing up the shadows and pulling down the highlights. to add contrast back in I decreased my blacks and increased my whites.

daytime - fill in flash

- increase highlights - brighten whites

- decrease shadows - darken blacks

- correct white balance - minus saturation

image shot with fill in flash needed a lot less basic adjustments than the previous image. no need to change exposure and only used highlights, shadows, etc to add interest and contrast into the photo and make it a bit more punchy.
