When you are a photographer it important that you caption, keyword, and copyright all of your images so that they can be sold to publications with the correct information as well as making sure you get the credit for it.
There are a few ways of doing this but I use photoshop, you go file>file info and then change the title, give it a caption/description, insert all the keywords relating to the photo and the change the copyright status to copyrighted.
